Glasmuseet Ebeltoft is an international museum for contemporary glass. Throughout the year Glasmuseet presents a variety of exhibitions with world class glass art and additionally presents various theme exhibitions using pieces from the museum’s permanent collection. In the grounds of the museum a hot glass studio one can be found. In the studio one can follow the magic of glassblowing as the hot, syrupy mass is formed into beautiful items of glass. 

New in 2011 is THE WORLD OF GLASS – an interactive learning centre, where a number of digital and physical elements explain some of the exciting facts about glass and glassmaking. One of these elements is "The Digital Glass Blower", which allows visitors to experience glassmaking "hands on". During the holidays, there are plenty of exciting, fun and challenging activities for the whole family such as glass casting, treasure hunts and tours of the museum. 

The exclusive shop offers a wide range of glass items at varied prices, created by Danish and international craftsmen, and in one of the best locations in Ebeltoft, visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch or dinner in picturesque surroundings in the Glascafé.

A season ticket is valid for 12 months and can be purchased at any time during the year.

Jan. - Mar. : 10am-4pm, closed monday*
Apr. - Jun.  : 10am-5pm
Jul. - Aug.  : 10am-6pm
Sep. - Oct. : 10am-5pm
Nov. - Dec. : 10am-4pm, closed monday 

*Please note that the museum is open on Mondays in the winter half-term break (weeks 7 and 8), during the Easter holiday and all other bank holidays. The museum is closed on 24th, 25th and 31st December and 1st January
