Tracing the past

Odder has been inhabited for centuries and in this exhibition we take a closer look at the discoveries made in the coastal area.
At the same time the audience will learn more on how the archaelogist works and draws knowledge from the fragmented pieces of history.
Modern scientific techniques make it possible to learn even more of the secrets from the past.

The exhibit includes findings from all the prehistoric ages - stone, bronze and iron age as well as the viking period and middle ages.
Among the interesting finds you will meet the human remains of vikings living near the local village Randlev 1000 years ago.

A mysterious destillery aparatus from the medieval mound Bjørnkær near Hou is also on exhibit.
