The church of Ulstrup

Not far from Aars, you'll find Ulstrup Church, which can be recognized by its rounded exterior corners, which are extremely rare.

The original Ulstrup Church is Romanesque and rare with its rounded corners. Today, it appears as a cross church with a nave from 1936, built across the old church.

The original chancel arch is still visible, and the very large level difference is preserved. In the new apse, there is a fresco from 1939 by Stephan Viggo Pedersen, depicting Christ as the Judge of the World.

The church is usually open during daytime hours Tuesday to Saturday.
