Ringkøbing Fjord Museums celebrates Danish Mill Day on 15 June!
At Bundsbæk Mill and Skjern Windmill, mill day is organised by our volunteer millers.
Watermills, windmills, stamp mills, stump mills, tread mills... A mill is not just a mill, and on Sunday 15 June you can experience several of them and learn more about their exciting 1000-year history. Ringkøbing Fjord Museums will mark the day at both Bundsbæk Mill and Skjern Windmill.
Bundsbæk Mill is West Jutland's oldest working watermill, and on Mill Day, the museum's volunteer mill guild is ready to tell you about the mill's history while the watermill creaks and grinds flour. Of course, you can also sit in the cosy mill rooms and enjoy a cup of coffee. You can also take a walk past the mill pond and out into the beautiful Bundsbæk Nature Park.
