
Eat the Geopark - Langeland
Taste Langeland during Geopark Days - when a number of Langeland restaurants offer local culinary experiences.
During Geopark Days 2025, a number of Langeland's eateries invite you on a culinary journey where you can savour the island's nature, traditions and produce. Each restaurant and café has created a dish or menu that celebrates Langeland's landscape and the local producers that are part of it.
On the menu you'll find everything from freshly caught fish and homemade delicacies to reinterpretations of regional dishes and sweets with honey from local bees. There's something for both those who enjoy classic pub food and those looking for a gastronomic experience with multiple dishes and fine details.
Among other things, you can taste:
- Stæhrs Bageri - honey bombs with honey from local bees on Langeland. Price: 20 kr. each.
- Landevejskroen - giant tartlet (‘mason's tub’) with local tartlets
- Spisestedet Havnen - ‘Bagenkopperen’: open sandwiches with pan-fried fish fillet, remoulade, roasted onions, cucumber salad and lemon. Price: 89 kr.
- Café Orangeriet - Geopark-Tapas: homemade bread, herbs, wild garlic oil and cake with home-grown fruit and honey from a local apiary. Price: DKK 250. Coffee/tea & cake 90 DKK.
- FISKI - quality from the ‘Backyard’: homemade fish specialities with ingredients from the South Funen Archipelago.
- Restaurant Kaos - three-course menu with South Funen food experiences. Price: 455 per person:
Starter: stir-fried salmon with smoked cheese, dill and roe
Main course: veal fillet with roasted leek, beech hats, rhubarb and cloud sauce
Dessert: walnut and rhubarb with white chocolate and little kisses - Rudkøbing Fish & Smokehouse - bread with locally landed fish: 2 pieces of pan-fried fish fillet, coarse remoulade and homemade cucumber salad. Price: 60 kr.
Wherever you choose to eat, you're in for an experience where the Geopark landscape can not only be seen and felt - but also tasted. It's all about love for the ingredients, respect for seasonal flavours and a close connection between land, sea and table.
