GENERATION
GENERATION is Copenhagen's new film festival, centred around cinema's most courageous and distinctive talents.
The film festival is created by the Danish Film School in collaboration with Empire Bio, Cinemateket and Gloria Biograf.
GENERATION invites you to join a wide-scale celebration of the art of film.
At the festival you can see the film screenings, go to parties, meet the artists and listen to talks and debates on the subject of film.
Who is moving the film world right now, and where is it moving to? GENERATION 2025 will answer these questions when, over four days in June, the festival presents innovative works from a new generation of young filmmakers who have the potential to shape the future of both Danish and international film.
This year you can experience 19 brand new graduation films from the Danish Film School's outgoing filmmakers, as well as 20 international feature films from the major film festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Sundance and Locarno, which otherwise do not find their way to Danish cinemas. Supplemented with talks and debates with filmmakers, artists and opinion makers that provide new perspectives on the films and the big conversations of the day.
