Guided tours at Hedegård

Visit the excavation at Hedegård this summer and get close to an Iron Age village with an associated fortification.

Museum Midtjylland will initiate a long-awaited excavation near Ejstrupholm in the summer of 2024. You can join a guided tour, learn about the archaeologists' work, and hear the story of what happened at this unique site over 2000 years ago.

There are several opportunities for guided tours from June 8 to August 4:

Drop-in Tours
Every day (except Fridays):

- 11:00-11:45 AM
- 12:30-1:15 PM
- 1:30-2:15 PM
- 2:30-3:15 PM

All tours operate on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum of 25 people per tour. It costs 50 DKK per person, and no reservation is required – just show up.

Practical Information
Before or after the guided tour, you can visit the exhibition and enjoy your packed lunch (there is no possibility to buy food or drinks at the excavation site). There are toilets on site and benches where you can rest.

The whole family can also compete in various Iron Age games.
