Now you can enjoy classic and new dance steps performed in ballet master Nikolaj Hübbe's Ballet de Luxe performed at Musikhuset Aarhus.
Ballet's greatest hits in three acts
With Nikolaj Hübbe, ballet master at the Royal Danish Ballet, as guide, we present a beautiful performance of the different styles of ballet history - from classics to the latest dance steps Gotta Dance.
The performance is divided into three acts: entertainments by Bournonville and Petipa, tantalising show dance and finally Etudes, one of Danish ballet's most iconic works.
Masterpieces of ballet
The first act features excerpts from works by the greatest choreographers of the 19th century, Bournonville and Petipa. Bournonville's pas de trois from The Life Hunters on Amager, The Flower Festival in Genzano and Petipa's virtuoso Venetian Carnival from Satanella are performed.
The second act consists of eight numbers from Gregory Dean's ballet Gotta Dance, a celebration of joy and the magic of dance, inspired by the swing era and the immortal sounds of evergreen music.
The third act concludes with Harald Lander's Etudes, a celebration of the beauty of ballet, structured like a training session, culminating in a grand finale.
