Nordic Folk Festival 2025
Nordic Folk Festival is a unique festival that combines music, food, nature, community, dance, group singing, and workshops. The festival draws on the area's beautiful nature and strong musical traditions and aims to be a platform for innovation and the development of Danish and Nordic folk music.
In 2025, the festival will be held in a mini-format over two days:
Friday, June 27, 2025: Private event for invited partners.
Saturday, June 28, 2025: Festival day with an exciting program, open to all.
The festival takes place at Vitskøl Monastery, which has previously been part of the festival's activities. The monastery and its surroundings create an authentic setting that enhances and immerses guests in a unique folk music experience.
Guests can expect a day filled with music, dance, and community. The program includes concerts, communal dancing, and a guided tour of Vitskøl Monastery.
A special attraction is "The Taste of Vitskøl", where local ingredients are showcased in the festival's culinary experiences. Local producers bring their best products – from fresh fruits and vegetables to delicious specialties such as cheeses, homemade delicacies, and locally brewed beer and wines. These ingredients become part of the festival menu, where the kitchen team creates flavorful dishes with a focus on quality and sustainability.
