Saltfestival in Thyborøn - Salt Å Thyborønsk

Ready to dive into a festive experience that will make your taste buds rejoice? You've come to the right place!

We welcome you to a festival where fish and shellfish are the main focus. From fresh catches to flavorful delicacies, it's not just a party—it's a culinary journey through Thyborøn's DNA!

And who better to lead you on this flavorful adventure than our own celebrity chef, Umut? He'll be working magic with dried fish in the slow cooker, but he'll also challenge the locals to a competition to create the best "fiskedelle" (fish cake), an event that's sure to keep even the seasoned fishermen on their toes. If you've been bragging about your fiskedelle for 10 years, here's your chance to win the trophy for THYBORØN'S BEST FISKEDELLE. Sign up for the competition by emailing inf@ltht.dk.

But there's more! A local auctioneer, along with Umut, will host auctions where you can bid on the freshest catches and feel like a real fish baron.

Bring the whole family for a ride on the world-famous VLTJ train and take in the beauty of Thyborøn from the tracks!

Enjoy a fun-filled journey in the children's salt universe, where you can make your own salt and create salt paintings. The whole family can also take a ride around Thyborøn on the Salt Express.

Set your course for Salt Å Thyborønsk—a festival full of salt, high spirits, and a taste of the sea. We look forward to seeing you for a day filled with fun, flavor, and Thyborøn charm—and who knows, you might even leave with a tall tale or two!
