Hedeland Nature Park is a beautiful and peaceful place where visitors can immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a relaxing day away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hedeland

With its hilly and impressive cultural landscape, Hedeland is a unique natural experience.

There are important natural and cultural monuments such as glacial deposits, ancient monuments and traces of more than 100 years of gravel extraction. Today Hedeland is a recreational area with many outdoor activities and nature experiences for the whole family. You can go troll hunting, have fun on the ski slopes and toboggan runs, and enjoy nature on the many hiking, cycling and horseback riding trails. There are also playgrounds, campfire sites and much more. In total, there are around 100 kilometres of hiking trails that are free to use.

The trails pass by Hedeland Amphitheatre, one of the largest open-air theatres in the Öresund region with a capacity of 3,000. The large open-air stage is the perfect setting for classical opera performances, which take place every August.

Or take a trip on the historic railway. Take the old train through Hedeland and bring your bike along. You can hop on and off along the way. Or take a ride on the Brandhøjbanen miniature railway, where large model trains carry passengers along 1200 metres of track. Both railways are open to visitors during the season from mid-May to the beginning of September. The miniature railway runs every Sunday during the season, and the Brandhøj railway every last Sunday of the month.

Dogs in Hedeland

In Hedeland Nature Reserve you can take your dog for a walk and enjoy nature. Dogs must always be kept on a lead and are not allowed in the animal enclosures. However, there are two areas in the forest that have been designated as dog forests. Dogs are allowed to run free without a leash. Of course, the dog must be accompanied by a person who is in full control of the dog.
