Route description

Start the trip by refueling with caramels, ice cream and smoked herring in Gudhjem. From Gudhjem, you follow the coast and pass Bornholms Madkulturhus Melstedgaård, the farm where Gourmet Bornholm is located.

Roll east along small side roads until you reach the legendary Hallegård Gårdbutik with heavenly steaks and cured sausages. Once you have satisfied your hunger, the trip continues quietly towards Svaneke.

If you have plenty of time, you can make a detour to Den Gamle Skole and try their honey specialties before the tour continues around Denmark’s most beautiful market town.

In Svaneke, a cornucopia of delicacies awaits you. While adults can quench their thirst with 100% organic beer from Svaneke Bryghus, children can cool down with a Krølle Bølle Ice Cream. Also try the delicious licorice from Johan Bylow, and the handmade candies at Torvet, yummy.

The day might end with a visit to the traditional Svaneke Røgeri – a day in the saddle probably doesn’t get any better.
