Easter at the Frilandsmuseet Herning

Museum Midtjylland invites visitors to celebrate Easter at the Open-Air Museum Herning with a focus on traditions and shared experiences. The event offers Easter activities for the whole family in a historical setting.

In the Easter workshop, children can paint eggs and make traditional Easter letters. The painted eggs will be used for egg races in the museum garden, and visitors can also try the old game known as egg rolling.

Volunteers from the local village guild open the historic houses, and families can try a variety of traditional games. Visitors can also explore the exhibition Jens Nielsen’s Farm, featuring more than 100 perspective boxes illustrating the yearly cycle on a Danish farm around 1900.

No registration is required, and admission is free.
