Morning Song at Helligåndskirken
Start your day with smiles, song and community when Helligåndskirken invites you to morning singing. Throughout the year, we'll sing the day awake with gems from the Danish song treasury – accompanied on piano, and with free admission for all.

Helligåndskirken opens its doors to something brand new: half an hour of communal morning singing on selected Wednesdays, filling the church with the rich Danish heritage of songs and hymns.
When: Wednesdays, 9.30-10.00 am – 24 June, 19 August, 2 September, 28 October, 18 November and 16 December
Where: Helligåndskirken, Hvide Sande
What: Communal morning singing from the Danish folk high school songbook and the hymnal, accompanied on piano
Price: Free admission
Organizer: Kirkerne på Klitten
Few things bring people together like singing in unison, and few song traditions are as rich as Denmark's. From beloved classics to newer works, the folk high school songbook ("Højskolesangbogen") and the hymnal hold centuries of poetry, faith and love of nature. At every session, songs from both will ring out, with organist Birte at the piano.
No trained voice or sheet-music skills required; just the desire to sing the day awake together with others. Everyone is welcome! The songs are in Danish, but guests who don't speak the language are, as always, warmly welcome in the church: the melodies speak a language of their own.
