Clement Kjersgaard presents the lecture Where Is Denmark Heading? at Højhuset Culture Hotel – a lecture about Denmark from 1945 up to the election year 2026.
According to Clement Kjersgaard, both 2025 and 2026 are expected to play a significant role in the history books. The lecture focuses on political and democratic developments in Denmark since the Second World War, with particular attention to the parliamentary election in 2022 and the turbulence anticipated in 2026.
The lecture also addresses global developments and international political figures, as well as the challenges facing democracy – including in Denmark. A central question is whether citizens will actively help shape the future or choose to remain spectators.
After the lecture, there will be ample time for questions and discussion with the audience.
