Afternoon cruise on the Little Belt

Afternoon cruise on the Little Belt

Looking for a unique summer experience with both nature and culture? Then hop aboard the Bågø Ferry and enjoy a scenic afternoon cruise on the Little Belt – with live storytelling and views of Funen and the archipelago.

In the summer of 2025, the Bågø Ferry offers four cozy afternoon sailings, where Museum Vestfyn shares the exciting history of the ferry route between Assens and Bågø.

What to Expect

As the ferry glides calmly across the Little Belt, you'll hear the story of how the ferry route was once a vital connection between the capital and the duchies – and how history changed with war, reunification, and modern infrastructure.

You'll also find out why the route closed in 1972 – and you might even spot a porpoise or a seal along the way.
