In the sweet little village of Skelby, which is 13 km north of Næstved, you can settle down in an old beer storehouse which is now a hostel/Bed & Breakfast and the town’s community centre. The place is run by enthusiastic volunteers who do everything they can to make you feel at home.
Depotet Bed & Breakfast in Skelby is ideal accommodation for people canoeing on the Suså river, which runs just 100 m away. The area is also ideal for hiking and cycling, with Klosterruten (the Monastery Route), Munkeruten (the Monk Route), Sjællandsleden (the Zealand Trail) and Suseåleden (the Suså Trail) all in the vicinity. The manor Gunderslevholm and two lovely village churches, Gunderslev and Skelby Church are just a short walk away.
The storehouse in Skelby has eight rooms and can accommodate up to 27 guests. The bathroom, small kitchen and living room are shared, as well as the large area where artists exhibit their work. Outside is a lovely enclosed and partially covered courtyard with a barbecue, tables and benches.
The storehouse also has a dining room for up to 50 people. The dining room is in a separate building and has two disabled toilets and a modern pantry kitchen with all the necessary equipment. The place is ideal for celebrations or small business events where guests require accommodation.
