Horse shows in Sagaland

H.C and KLODS-HANS on the loose (Monday - Wednesday and Friday at 12.00)
It's about Hans Christian Andersen. Andersen, who tries to update his old fairy tale about Clumsy Hans to a more modern version. Clumsy Hans is about to propose to the princess, but first he has to learn how to ride a horse and fight with a sword. Then he has to get 3 gifts: wine, roses and of course a ring. Finally, he roasts rooster chickens and burns down the kitchen. Will he be able to save the princess and get her and half the kingdom? In this horse show, the rider performs amazing and dangerous stunts, such as riding a horse backwards at full gallop and riding without reins - even through fire and flames. It's high-level equestrianism wrapped up in Hans Christian Andersen's hilarious reinterpreted fairy tales.

After the show, everyone is welcome in the stables, where you can pet the horses, try on real knightly armour and chat with Knight Ole about the historical facts.

RIDDER OLE OF SAGALAND (Monday - Wednesday and Friday at 14.00)
In SAGALAND there is neither a king nor a queen, here it is FANTASY that decides. But we do have our very own knight, RIDDER OLE, and in this horse show you can see how it came to be that Rider Ole settled here in Sagaland. Knight Ole is a real old-fashioned knight. He is dressed in his shining armour and rides his beautiful war horse. He demonstrates how a real knight should be able to use his weapons. He cleaves the enemy's (cabbage) heads with his sharp sword, throws his spear at the wolf and splinters his lance at the dangerous quintaine. No knight without a horse: Knight Ole shows how finely and easily you can control a horse without being rough and tough. This is historical horsemanship at a high level.

After the show, Knight Ole tells historical facts about armour, weapons and horses through the ages.
