Jungshoved Kirkehavn
Visit Jungshoved Church Harbour and experience a historic harbour beside Jungshoved Castle Bank in scenic surroundings.

What can you experience at Jungshoved Kirkehavn?
Jungshoved Kirkehavn is beautifully located on Stege Bay and the Bøgestrøm strait, just below Jungshoved Castle Bank. The harbour consists of a northern and a southern basin, only a short walk apart, and today serves as a private harbour for local residents and those with connections to the area. Its peaceful setting makes it an ideal destination if you're looking for tranquillity, scenic views and a glimpse into the area's rich history.
The harbour is not easily accessible by boat, so it is best visited on foot, by bicycle or by car. From here, you can enjoy a walk along the coast or explore Jungshoved Castle Bank, where Jungshoved Castle once stood. Although the castle no longer exists, the site offers fascinating history and beautiful views across the water.
History and nature side by side
Jungshoved Kirkehavn is located close to Jungshoved Church and Castle Bank, together telling the story of one of the area's former castles, associated with the events of the Swedish Wars. Combine a walk through the open coastal landscape with a visit to the church, or enjoy a picnic overlooking Stege Bay and the Bøgestrøm strait.
A peaceful stop by the coast
Jungshoved Kirkehavn is an excellent destination for nature lovers, history enthusiasts and visitors looking to discover one of South Zealand's quieter harbours. Here, nature, panoramic views and cultural history are the main attractions.
