Kite Festival on Langeland – a day filled with colour and community

On 30 August, the beach at Spodsbjerg will be transformed into a vibrant sky filled with colourful kites when the 2026 Kite Festival takes place.

The event has been organised in collaboration between På Drejet Beach Bar, the Danish Kite Club and SHORES Langeland – and offers experiences for both children and adults.

Experience impressive kites and shows

The Danish Kite Club will fill the sky with beautiful kites of all shapes and colours. The Fat Boys Kite Team, known from “Helt sort med Melvin”, will also be taking part – and if the wind permits, you can experience some truly special and spectacular kites.

Fun activities for the whole family

It’s set to be a day of smiles and laughter, with highlights including a shower of sweets from the sky.

Children can also let their creativity run wild with paint-your-own kites or find their own favourite in the kite shop.

Beach atmosphere and delicious food

Food and drinks are available at Drejet Beach Bar, so you can enjoy the day in relaxed surroundings with a view of the sea.
