Medieval Days in Tranekær

A time travel experience for the whole family from the 31st of July to the 4th of August 2024 in the castle town of Tranekær on Langeland.

Step back in time to the Middle Ages and experience excitement, play and learning in the heart of the breathtaking castle town.

Tranekær Castle is the setting for this fantastic event. The medieval camp is set up in the old riding arena and offers spectacular views of the forest, fields and the impressive castle. This is where history unfolds and Danish medieval society comes to life.

Tranekær Medieval Days is not just an event - it's an annual tradition that combines fun and learning for the whole family. Toby Kaas, who grew up on the Egeløkke estate in northern Langeland, brings his love of Langeland to life by creating an event that brings the past to life.

Activities for everyone

From children to adults, there is something for everyone. Children can take part in a knight's school, try their hand at medieval games and create their own memories. Adults can don knight's armour and take part in fun medieval activities, while storytelling, jousting and sword fighting keep everyone entertained.

Families are at the heart of the event. The aim is to create an atmosphere where generations can share experiences and make memories together. Medieval Days in Tranekær is designed to strengthen community bonds and create lifelong memories.
