Rumregatta in Sønderborg
En route to the Rumregatta in Flensburg, several sailing ships spend the night in Sønderborg Sydhavn.

In keeping with tradition, Sønderborg Sydhavn will berth several large and small sailing ships on their trip to Flensburg, Germany, where they will participate in this year's Rum Regatta.
2025 is no exception, and depending on wind strength and direction, around 40 large and small ships are expected to arrive at the harbour from 15:00 on Ascension Day. Ascension Day, where they will dock for the night. The largest of this year's ships is the over 100-year-old brigantine, Eye of the Wind.
The following day, Friday, a skipper's meeting is held at 9am and then the sails are set. The Flensburg Fjord Regatta begins at 11 am, starting off Sønderborg Castle and finishing near Flensburg.

Please note, that the departure time from Sønderborg may be brought forward if there is not much wind, as the journey ends at 5 pm near Flensburg.
