At Sukkertoppen you can enjoy a delicious a la carte lunch or dinner in the centre of the historic buildings, with a view of many atmospheric pictures of the factory workers. Here, contemporary cuisine is combined with the history of Lolland's ‘white gold’, as the sugar beets are called.
From September to May, primarily parties are held in Sukkertoppen, while a good a la carte lunch or dinner can be enjoyed from May to August. Keep an eye on social media for the exact opening hours.
The sugar factory in Sakskøbing was in use as a factory until 1991, and today the impressive buildings have been transformed into a cultural and commercial hub for the local area.
Sugar is still a major industry on Lolland and Falster, but now the sugar beets are only processed in Nakskov and Nykøbing Falster.
