Summer concert in Ringkøbing Church: Sigrid Kongshøj-Munch & Peter Arendt

Experience Bach's gamba sonatas by violist Sigrid Kongshøj-Munch and organist Peter Arendt. The duo performs three gamba sonatas by J.S. Bach. Two virtuoso musicians combine their talent and passion to perform Bach's beautiful but not often heard sonatas in a way that will enrich the soul. Sigrid Kongshøj-Munch plays the sonatas on viola and Peter Arendt accompanies on the church's main organ.

Sigrid Kongshøj-Munch grew up in Ringkøbing and is project manager and artistic director of Hvide Sande Masterclass. She is a trained violist and violinist, music communicator and music educator at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Royal Danish Academy of Music, in 2015.
She has played numerous solo, chamber music and orchestral concerts, premieres, recordings, TV and theatre productions. Since 2018, she has been a violin and viola teacher at Tårnby Music School.

Peter Arendt studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Western Jutland and the Royal Academy of Music in Jutland and is now organist at Hasle Church.
Over the past 30 years, he has helped to publish a large number of CDs and sheet music with church music from around the world, and together with his wife, Betty Arendt, he has led the music at a large number of ecumenical church meetings all over the world. He has also recorded classical CDs and composed classical church music published by Mixtur.
