You will meet the watchmen in the square in front of the church, from where they will accompany you into the historic church of Ærøskøbing.

Island priest Henny Kvist leads the traditional Watchmen's Service, which brings together watchmen and visitors for an atmospheric evening gathering. Here, you can listen to the day's reading and hear the old watchmen's verses, which continue to play an important role in the watchmen's tradition.

The service takes place in Ærøskøbing Church and offers a chance to experience a special part of the town's cultural heritage and history.

After the service, you are invited to join a short guided walk through the town with one of the watchmen. The walk provides an insight into the watchmen's traditions and the unique atmosphere that settles over Ærøskøbing in the evening.
