Gedebæksfaldet in Ekkodalen

In the beautiful Alminding forest, close to Ekkodalen, you will find Gedebæksfaldet, which with its free fall of 22.5 meters, actually takes the place as Denmark's highest waterfall.
Denmark's highest waterfall
Gedebæksfaldet is best visited in spring or winter, when the extra rainfall and possible meltwater make it an impressive sight to see the water splashing over the cliff and falling freely 22.5 meters.
During periods of frost, you may also be lucky enough to see the most beautiful ice formations that form on the steep cliff wall.
Find your way
To get to Gedebæksfaldet, you can park at Ekkodalenshuset, and walk down the path to the left until you reach the beautiful winding footbridge, and follow the Ekkodalen Trail. Continue on it towards Dronningeklippen and Jærgergrotten, and you will come straight to Gedebæksfaldet.
There are many beautiful hiking trails in Almindingen, try e.g. the Bison Trail, Kongens Borge, Musestien and Klippestien.
