Experience one of the great works of music history as Herning Kirkes Drengekor and Treenighedskirkens Drengekor join forces to perform George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. Since its premiere in Dublin in 1742, Messiah has moved generations of listeners.
Handel’s music tells a story of hope, suffering and redemption, ranging from heartfelt arias and reflective moments to monumental choruses full of energy and jubilation. The most famous is, of course, the mighty Hallelujah Chorus, which has become one of the most recognizable moments in classical music.
At this concert, Herning Kirkes Drengekor and Treenighedskirkens Drengekor come together in Handel’s grand choral passages. Alongside an orchestra and an accomplished lineup of soloists, they bring both the work’s intimate expression and its broad dramatic range to life.
