The restaurant has been designed with respect for the building’s history, combining classic details with a stylish and contemporary look. The warm atmosphere creates a welcoming setting for everything from a relaxed lunch to a dinner with friends, family or colleagues.

Behind 2takt are three passionate restaurateurs with more than 50 years’ combined experience in the hospitality industry. Their shared ambition is to create wonderful dining experiences where quality, hospitality and a personal touch take centre stage.

The name 2takt is inspired by the building’s history. The restaurant is housed in a former industrial building constructed in 1916 by Frederikshavn Jernstøberi og Maskinfabrik, which, amongst other things, produced the iconic 2-stroke Alpha engine. Today, the historic surroundings provide a very special setting for modern dining experiences in the heart of the town.
