Nissehuset - The Enchanting Elf House – Where the Elves Live

FREE ENTRY

Klarborg invites the whole family to enjoy cozy Advent moments at the Elf House!

For years, the forest surrounding Etly Klarborg’s workshop and shop has been bustling on the four Sundays of Advent. The reason? The elves who live here are busy spoiling their guests, playing pranks, and having fun with all the children who come by. The Elf House has become a beloved tradition for locals and attracts visitors from all over the country.

Nestled in the woods, the Elf House is the epitome of Christmas and coziness! Since 2004, it has been open to visitors on all four Advent Sundays. Every year, many people visit to soak up the Christmas magic in this enchanting house, where Etly Klarborg’s elves frolic in the forest and peace and warmth fill the house inside.

The walk to the Elf House begins at Butik Gammelbo and winds through the dark forest along charming paths. The trail is well-marked, so you shouldn’t get lost—unless a mischievous elf has flipped a sign. As you approach the Elf House, you might hear the giggles or laughter of the elves from the forest—and if you’re lucky, you might even spot one! Santa Claus himself will greet you at the Elf House. He loves chatting with the little ones, and if they’ve been good, he has treats in his pocket to share. He’s also happy to pose for a photo if you’d like.

Inside the Elf House, you won’t find the popular elves for sale, but you can enjoy freshly baked pancakes, mulled wine, and sodas. Guests are welcome to stay, relax, and soak up the old-fashioned, cozy Christmas atmosphere. Both kids and adults can rest, warm up, and enjoy the magical surroundings. You can’t help but get into the Christmas spirit after visiting the Elf House—we guarantee it!
