Hollændergårdene is located in the village of Store Magleby in Dragør, also known as the Dutch Village after the many Dutch farmers who immigrated to Amager in the 1500s.

Here, they created a parallel society with their own laws and rules, costumes and traditions that spread across Amager. The story is therefore neither Danish nor Dutch, but completely unique - and you can immerse yourself in it at Hollændergårdene.

Take a stroll in the museum's lush farm garden, where dahlias, root vegetables and cabbages are grown - just as they have been grown on Amager for centuries. In the old days, Dutch farmers sold vegetables from the vegetable garden in Copenhagen.

You can also meet the museum's pigs and goats, which are ready to be petted throughout the summer months.
