Ballen Habor

Ballen Harbor is located west of Svendborg, approximately 11 km from the city center.

At the harbor, there is a lovely child-friendly beach with a bathing jetty, and the beach is distinguished with a Blue Flag. If you want to venture inland, Syltemae Valley is only 2 km away and offers the opportunity for a beautiful walk on a section of the Archipelago Trail.

Several divers depart from Ballen Harbor, particularly in connection with the controlled sinking of the ferry M/F Ærøsund in October 2014. The ferry was intentionally sunk to create an artificial reef for the enjoyment of marine life and divers.

Ballen Harbor is worth a visit if you desire tranquil surroundings and beautiful nature.
