The Black Clover Leaf Route in Søndersø

The “Sorte Kløversti” in Søndersø is a 21 km adventure through beautiful countryside and loads of local history. Start and finish at Søndersø Bypark and just follow the black Kløversti signs. Go for a brisk hike or enjoy it as a relaxed bike ride—rolling through hills and little valleys.

Along the way you’ll pass Dallund Lake and the forest area called Friheden, where you can really take in the scenery. And if you dare… say hi to Finn the Troll, and look for his footprints by the church. Skamby Church and a Stone Age burial chamber (a jættestue) are also well worth a stop.

Glavendrup is packed with highlights: Denmark’s longest runic inscription, a stone ship setting, and two Bronze Age burial mounds. There are also shelters and a fire hut—perfect for a cosy picnic.

You’ll also loop around Dallund Lake with the old Dallund Castle as a beautiful backdrop. The route finishes along Dallundvej, lined with well-preserved houses and farms—a lovely final stretch.

When hunger strikes, there are grocery stores nearby where you can pick up tasty snacks and drinks. So let the “Sorte Kløversti” take you on an unforgettable journey through nature and history!
