Byfogedskoven

"Byfogedskoven" (town judge woods), which over the years have become completely enclosed by the town, were started in 1815 by the town judge, counsellor Ole Christian Lund.

The woods became one of the first succesful attempts to plant trees in the dune landscape of Jutland.

Around a century later, the woods became officially protected.
