At this shelter site, you can wake up to the sound of the rippling Lille Hansted Creek while surrounded by forested slopes. In the beautiful landscape around Hansted Forest and Egebjerg Lake, the site is discreetly located near a scouts' hut. However, the shelters are publicly accessible and can be booked by anyone.

There are a total of three shelters available for booking, each accommodating six people. It is possible to book all the shelters at once if you are a larger group going on a trip. There is also a fire pit and tables/benches. Firewood is occasionally available on the site.

Less than 300 meters away is Egebjerg Lake, where you can find a parking lot, a toilet, a water station, and waste bins. A gravel path leads to the lake.

Overnight stays at the site are free of charge. We recommend booking a shelter in advance. If you have a reservation, you have first priority. However, please note that you may not turn away other guests if there is room for more people in the shelters.

Explore nature

The shelter site is situated along a trail that follows the Lille Hansted Creek between Hansted and Egebjerg Lake. The beautiful hike can be turned into a circular route by returning to the lake via Vandmøllevej.

On the other side of the lake and the parking lot, the large and remarkably visit-worthy Hansted Forest begins. The hilly forest offers steep hills and deep ravines. The forest is divided into different sections with various ownerships, making it quite diverse.
