Close to the fjord and the border

An eventful holiday awaits you just a few kilometers from our big neighbor to the south – with countless exciting experiences on both the Danish and the German side of the border. Many of the sites offer views of the Flensburg Fjord, inviting you to relax and enjoy beautiful moments.

Activities for children

On site there are plenty of play opportunities for the little ones: they can enjoy the cozy playground or jump on the bouncy pillows. If you prefer games and competition, you can play a round of chess or table tennis.

A walk on the Gendarmsti

Tie your hiking boots, pack a lunch, and head out on the historic Gendarmsti (Gendarme Path). It winds 84 kilometers along the fjord from Padborg to Høruphav on Als – and passes right by the campsite.

Sønderjysk coffee table and Dybbøl Mølle

Do you love cake? Then you should stop by Gråsten Castle, where the famous Sønderjysk coffee table is served at the Old Inn. You are also close to the History Centre Dybbøl Banke, where in season you can experience soldiers, guided tours and more. Here you can also walk among the ten redoubts with reminders of the wars of 1848 and 1864.

Excursion to Flensburg and Als

The science adventure park Universe on Als is less than an hour away and offers experiences for a full day. But don’t forget to visit Sønderborg, where you can explore the town’s charming streets, shops and cafés. Flensburg is less than 30 minutes from the site, and here you can also easily spend a whole day. From there, you can discover Schleswig with Glücksburg Castle, Gottorf Castle, the Viking Museum Haithabu and the Danewerk.
