Det Grafiske Magasin

Enjoy a creative break at the tiny art house Det Grafiske Magasin on Hjarnø. Join a workshop, browse through the art or simply relax on the small island with a freshly brewed cup of barista coffee.

Art and coffee at Hjarnø

In the middle of the island of Hjarnø in Horsens Fjord, Det Grafiske Magasin is located in a newly restored workshop building, where aesthetics, presence, and social gathering have filled up the cozy building together with creative thinking and big dreams.

Det Grafiske Magasin is a combination of a working workshop and a coffee bar, where owner and visual artist Jane Willumsgaard has her studio. From early spring to the (Danish) autumn holidays, you have the opportunity to visit the studio, where you can view and purchase her art to take home with you for decoration or as a beautiful souvenir.

The island's best coffee spot

Jane Willumsgaard offers freshly brewed coffee to all passers-by. You have the option of ordering a good cup of coffee to go in Det Grafiske Magasin's coffee shop or going inside and enjoying the cosy, creative, and rustic surroundings. The coffee is of high quality, brewed from carefully selected coffee beans on a good Italian barista coffee machine.

Creative Coffee Breaks

Det Grafiske Magasin regularly holds workshops where you can learn how to make your own linoleum print. Under the expert guidance of Jane Willumsgaard, you will be guided through the process of cutting and printing - and you will of course get your very own piece of art to take home as a memory of the experience. Workshops in art forms, such as drawing and printing, are also held regularly. The event is of course combined with a good cup of Jane's coffee.

In order to give the participants space and time for personal guidance, there is room for 6-8 course participants per workshop. You are welcome to contact Det Grafiske Magasin by phone or email to inquire about the possibility of having your own workshop.
