Axel Guldsmeden is Guldsmeden Hotels' largest property and a peaceful retreat in the heart of Copenhagen. Opened in 2007, the hotel occupies a beautiful historic building dating back to the turn of the twentieth century, where classic architecture meets Guldsmeden’s signature blend of bohemian luxury and sustainable values.
With 202 rooms, including four stunning penthouse suites featuring private rooftop terraces and hot tubs, the hotel offers a unique combination of comfort, character and city living. Over the years, Axel Guldsmeden has served as the group's creative hub, where new ideas, concepts and guest experiences are developed and tested before being introduced across the wider Guldsmeden Hotels collection.
The hotel was also the first in the group to achieve both the prestigious Danish Organic Cuisine Label in Gold and Green Globe certification.
