Holmegaard Værk boasts a beautiful, scenic setting in South Zealand – a mere stone’s throw from Næstved town centre and just a one-hour drive from Copenhagen.

The museum is a hot spot for design, craftsmanship and tradition. Learn all about the history of Denmark’s first, last and only preserved glassworks. Hear about the glass, the production process and the people involved, and about its birth, heyday and decline. Discover 200 years of Denmark’s history as told through glass.

Enjoy stories about the iconic designers, watch glass artists at work, or create your very own glass masterpieces.

During your visit you will see 42,000 Holmegaard glass items, 6,000 Kähler ceramic works, some monumental glass art installations and impressive, breath-taking special exhibitions.

You can also stroll through the idyllic glass village, where glass workers and designers once lived, or take in the beautiful landscape of Holmegaard Mose.

Holmegaard Værk features six permanent exhibitions and two temporary special exhibitions in 15,000 square metres of indoor and 24,000 square metres of outdoor space.
