Klintholm Harbour

Klintholm Havn is a small harbour town with a large port on the easternmost part of the island of Møn, and with approximately 200 inhabitants it’s absolutely worth a visit. It consists of a fishing harbour and a large marina with about 200 slips, as well as a child-friendly beach. Klintholm Havn has several restaurants where you can enjoy your food with great harbour views.

Klintholm Havn is also an excellent place for fishing, as it is possible to catch sea trout, garfish, flatfish and eels and perch. There is sea trout fishing in the spring and autumn, and from the beginning of May there are also plenty of garfish. The fishing takes place from Klintholm Havn and east to Møns Lighthouse, where the water is shallow and wading is necessary, so it’s a good idea to remember to bring waders to fish for garfish and sea trout. It’s also best when there isn’t too strong a southerly wind.

There are good bus connections from Klintholm Havn to Møns Klint, the island’s many artisans and Stege, which is one of Denmark's most exciting market towns, with lots of little speciality shops.

If you stay overnight at Klintholm Harbor either as a sailor or in a motorhome or van, you get the 3rd night for free.
