Kongsbjerg Dark Sky Star Spot

Kongsbjerg is Møn's second-highest point and is perfect for stargazing. The path to the “think-bench” at the top of Høvblege starts in the parking lot at Busenevej. The walk takes approx. 10 minutes and it's very easy to find your way. From Høvblege a fantastic view opens to the east, south and west, which is why it is one of the best places on Møn to look at stars and experience the fascinating gas and star trails of the Milky Way.

You must always remember to close the gate, as the animals can escape.

The tightly packed starry sky over Møn and Nyord is unique. That is why Møn and Nyord were named as the Nordic region's first Dark Sky Park and Community. In a Dark Sky Park, the night darkness is protected from local light pollution, so you have the best and clearest view of the starry sky.

Area traffic:

This star spot is located on the state's land, which is part of the core areas of the Mon UNESCO biosphere as well as the Dark Sky park.

It is our shared responsibility to preserve the unique and species-rich nature that gives us unique experiences. Everyone has the right to be in nature, but we must take animals, plants and other people into account.

In the areas owned by the state, special rules apply to traffic in nature, especially at night. It is recommended to travel on roads and paths so that habitats for rare flora and habitats for animals and birds are not destroyed. In addition, quiet travel is recommended so that animals and birds are not disturbed. Always make sure you leave nothing but your footprints in nature.
