Kystmuseet Sæby

Consul Ørum’s house was one of the large merchants houses in Sæby, positioned centrally between Algade and the stream, close to the road to Frederikshavn.

Today the old timber-framed building is a museum where history comes alive for both children and adults.

What was it like to go to school in the old days? How was amber collected? And why does the town look like it does today?

At Kystmuseet Sæby, brochures and written information are available in English. Also, signs and displays are partly in English. Guided tours can be arranged to accomodate English speaking guests.
