Light in the Dark on 5 Danish islands

Light in Darkness took place for the first time in 2021 and all five islands offered activities around light and darkness. It was a great success and has been repeated in 2022 and 2023 with two eventful days on the first weekend in November.

All five islands have a unique darkness at night, which is the focus of the Light in Darkness activities.

Across the five islands, islanders and visitors alike have enjoyed the many cultural offerings during the dark period.

In 2024, the islands will once again switch on their lights on 1 and 2 November, and you can look forward to a host of exciting activities.
