Mikkelstenen

Nearby the road from Langemark to Besser there is a monument called "Mikkelstenen".
It was set up in memory of Mikkel Søren Holm. He was a leading motive power in starting up different co-operative societys. Among others he started a dairywork in Besser - known for butter and the worldfamous Samsø-cheese.
