The Red Clover Leaf Route in Bogense
Enjoy the beautiful nature along the dyke between Bogense and Fogense on the red cloverleaf trail!

The “Røde Kløversti” in Bogense is a lovely 7.9 km loop that starts and finishes at Bogense Gl. Havn (the old harbour). The flat trail is marked with red Kløversti signs and is ideal for both cyclists and walkers. Max incline is 4.9%.
The route takes you through the wide coastal meadows of Bogense Vestre Enge, which used to be wet, marshy ground. Along the way you’ll pass Barfods Dam, where there’s a picnic shelter and a nature playground.
Vestre Enge is now a protected nature area and home to rare meadow plants and lots of birdlife—keep an eye out for bright blue kingfishers and other species!
At Bogense Marina Beach you can go for a swim at the artificial sandy beach. The marina also has outdoor fitness equipment and a playground for extra fun.
After the walk/ride, treat yourselves to a well-earned break at one of Bogense’s cafés or restaurants. There are benches along the route, and you’ll also find tables and benches by the harbour and the marina. Enjoy the trip!
