Skive Aboretum
An arboretum is a forestry botanical garden – a teaching forest, where visitors can learn the names of marked trees. Skivehus Rotary Club has planted an arboretum with an entrance on Søndre Dås, Skive. The wood contains 60 species of trees, and it is the goal of Skivehus Rotary Club that schools will make use of the wood as part of the curriculum, e.g. in science lessons. There are 30 places to sit and a bonfire pit. Salling nature trail runs alongside Skive Arboretum.
A leaflet containing a map of the wood, as well as a list of the tree species in it, is available from Skive Municipality Communal Service (Skive Kommunes Fællesservice) at the town hall and at Skiveegnens Erhvervs- og Turistcenter.
