Vedersø Church

Vedersø Church is a West Jutland church from around the year 1150. The church is a solid church, consisting of a Romanesque choir and nave with extensions. Every year, Vedersø Church attracts several thousand tourists to visit the tomb of the former poet and priest Kaj Munk, as well as a memorial plaque on the east side of the nave.

Romanesque chor and nave (granite ashlars) with 3 Gothic extensions. A southern annexe which stands in connection with a round arcade (pro- bably an original chapel), porch facing north (the door which is fa- cing with a tympanum (two lions flank a little human shape) and on the other side of the door there is an ashlar with a man's head and a stepple facing west (with cellar (opened 1956) closed with wrought- iron lattice). In the choir there is a memorial tablet for Kaj Munk (1898-1944), priest in Vedersoe 1924-44, burried at the house end.
