On this short safari to the dead trees at Skovsgaard, we’ll be exploring trees that may look old, worn or dying, but are actually teeming with life. Cracks, crevices, holes and rot create habitats and food sources for many different species.

Using equipment from the Wild Nature Workshop, participants investigate who lives in and around the dead trees. Here you can learn more about woodpeckers, bats, centipedes, spiders and the many insects that use the trees as hiding places, feeding grounds or breeding sites.
