Denmark's first utility association, Thisted Arbejderforening, was founded in Thisted in 1866.
On the association's 50th anniversary in 1916, Rasmus Andersen's bronze bust of Hans Chr. Sonne in front of the original Brugs on Lille Torv in Thisted.
