Bunken Klitplantage

Bunken Klitplantage was established in 1887. Only the multi-trunked mountain pine, brought back from Central Europe mountains, had proved applicable under these very difficult circumstances.

At that time, foresters had a good deal of experience in how to carry out such an operation, as comprehensive planting had been completed in dunes and areas of drifting sand from the start of the 1800s.
