The farmer comes to town

Odder is a town with proud farming traditions. Every year, the day after Ascension Day, farming is brought right into the town center when the farmers come to town. They bring with them both animals and large machines, and there are several interesting activities for children.

Get a taste of farming life

Farming has always played a central role in the Odder area, and the town wouldn’t look the way it does today without the many strong forces that utilized the area's fertile soil and shaped the region. Today, Odder is a modern town, and it's easy to forget that rural life is lived right in the backyard. However, on the Friday after Ascension Day, the town’s residents and visitors are reminded when local farmers take over the town center.

They bring with them equipment, machinery, and some of the farm’s sweet animals. Throughout the day, you can get up close and have the opportunity to play farmer for a day.
